Hazel is currently treasurer and webmaster of the Greater Bridgeport Camera Club; secretary of the Connecticut Association of Photographers; a member of the New Haven Camera Club and the Council Services Director of the Photographic Society of America. She has been the monthly columnist for the PSA Journal’s Camera Club & Council News column for over four years.
Her photos have won many awards and competitions in the past few years in both local club competitions and international salons. She is a multi-star exhibitor in PSA, where she has also received four bronze stars and one silver star for her journalistic efforts. In 2008 she received an honors distinction of Master Member of the New England Camera Club Council (MNEC) during its annual conference.
Hazel enjoys teaching classes and seminars on Photoshop Elements and HDR. She teaches for the Milford and North Haven Adult Education programs as well as at local camera clubs and several regional conferences. She enjoys being active in the photographic community and helping others find the joy and satisfaction in taking and perfecting beautiful images.
Hazel finds all types of photography enjoyable, but tends to focus on nature and the great outdoors. She and her husband, Dave, have made several trips to the American Southwest in the past few years, where she has come to appreciate the stark beauty of the desert.
